ia - The Inner Hurt was published in 1995,which was the result of a 'Poetry Competition for dyslexic children. In this collection of poems you will see children describe the pain and embarrassment of suffering dyslexia.
Children between 8 and 16 contributed to this compilation that sheds light on the problem.
Sarah Andrew (Author, Editor), printed this book, and Maria Chivers was the (Author and Editor) .
Maria Chivers is the Founder of the Swindon Dyslexia Centre, which opened in 1991 and the DyslexiaA2Z website, which started over a decade ago.. She writes and lectures on dyslexia and her book 'Practical Strategies for Living with Dyslexia' is being published in different languages. She is married and has two sons, both of whom have dyslexia. Maria lives in Wiltshire, UK.
