Dysgraphia help and advice
Dysgraphia - interest groups
There are several groups that specialise in handwriting. One is the National Handwriting Association(NHA); (formerly the Handwriting Interest Group HIG), their main concern is to promote the improvement of handwriting standards in schools and support children with handwriting difficulties.
Another excellent group is, the Society for Italic Handwriting (SIC), which launched The Good Handwriting Initiative in 1997. The Society’s aim is to promote good handwriting and good teaching. A particular concern is to help teachers at Key Stage 1 (KS1) who wish to begin teaching cursive writing from the first day in reception.
