The Premier Dyslexia Website for Specific Learning Difficulties
This site is dedicated to raising awareness of specific learning difficulties. We specialise in providing information on: Dyslexia; Dyscalculia; Dysgraphia; Dyspraxia; ADHD; Aspergers Syndrome (AS); Nonverbal Learning Disabilities (NLD); Tourette's Syndrome (TS); Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD); Speech and Language Therapy; Giftedness and Left-Handers.
The site is operated by Maria Chivers who is an international author on dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.
Maria is also the founder of the Swindon Dyslexia Centre, which opened in 1991. Maria, working with a team of highly trained specialists: tutors, psychologists and other therapists; in specific learning difficulties, has featured on radio, and television including "The Learning Curve".
Her book "Practical Strategies for Living with Dyslexia" is now being translated into other languages. She writes regularly and gives lectures on dyslexia. Maria is passionate about dyslexia and as she puts it is "Dedicated to Raising Awareness of Dyslexia".
Learning a Language - coming soon
A new section on learning foreign languages and the difficulties faced by student's with learning difficulties, will be added shortly. This section will look at the different ways of learning; Spanish; French; Italian and other languages.
Other languages
In order to raise awareness of dyslexia and to reach as many people as possible, some parts of this website have been translated into other languages. Different languages will follow. Languages available so far, are: Spanish, French, German and Norwegian.
